Ukrzaliznytsia reports domestic grain transportation costs dropping

USDA ups forecast for Ukraine’s grain exports to 25.5-mln mt in 2022-2023
KYIV, April 12 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) in the updated global forecast balance of major crops for March increased the forecast for corn exports from Ukraine in the 2022/2023 marketing year (MY, July-June) by 2 million tons compared to the data for February - to 25.5 million tons from 23.5 million tons, and wheat - by 1 million tons, up to 14.5 million tons from 13.5 million tons.

Canada’s Cameco, Energoatom sign nuclear fuel production deal

Energoatom seeks to start Central Spent Nuclear Fuel Storage Facility
KYIV, April 11 – Energoatom, after resuming its control over the Central Spent Nuclear Fuel Storage Facility (CSFSF) after leaving the exclusion zone of the Russian invaders, will first of all continue to work on obtaining permission for its operation from the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine, which was scheduled for March 9 before the war, Head of the company Petro Kotin has said.

Ukraine increases furniture exports 50% on year in January-March
KYIV, April 9 – Ukrainian furniture manufacturers in January-March increased their furniture exports by 50% compared to the same period in 2019, to $247.4 million, while in the past five years (2015-2020) there was an annual increase of 13.5%, a member of the Ukrainian Association of Furniture Manufacturers (UAFM) Oksana Donska said.
