Ukraine’s passenger car production doubles on year in June

KIEV, July 11 – Ukraine’s passenger car production more than doubled on the year to 725 cars in June, according to the preliminary data from the Ukrautoprom association. The output rose 9.5% from May.


Trade ministry outlines benefits of Ukraine-Canada trade deal

KIEV, July 12 – The agreement on a free trade area between Ukraine and Canada from the moment it takes force after its ratification by parliaments of the two countries would reduce import duties for 98% of Ukrainian imported goods and for 72% of Canadian exports to nil, Ukraine's Economic Development and Trade Ministry reported.


Kiev court seizes 33 gas wells owned by former ecology minister

KIEV, July 12 – Kiev's Pechersky district court has impounded 33 wells in Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv regions developed by gas producers which are part of Burisma Group belonging to former Ecology and Natural Resources Minister Mykola Zlochevsky.

July rate hikes will allow us to break even, says Ukrtransnafta

KIEV, July 9 – An increase in rates for oil transportation to Ukrainian oil refineries, as of July 1, 2015, will end the subsidization by PJSC Ukrtransnafta of privately owned companies and will allow the company to break even, Ukrtransnafta acting Director General Roman Sydorak told Interfax-Ukraine.

KIEV, July 10 – Oschadbank plans to sue Russia over the losses it incurred due to the occupation of Crimea for at least $670 million, according to Andriy Pyshny, chairman of the state-owned savings bank.
