EBA calls on government to avoid hard lockdown due to COVID-19

KYIV, Nov 11 – The European Business Association (EBA) has called on the government to develop clear steps for interacting with business instead of strict restrictions and noted that business may not stand the weekend quarantine.


Ukraine’s EV registrations up 37% in Jan-Oct to 5,789 units

KYIV, Nov 11 – The primary registration of electric passenger cars (used and new) in Ukraine in January-October 2019 increased by 37% compared to the same period in 2018, to 5,789 units, commercial almost doubled, to 458 units, Ukrautoprom has said.


Ukraine’s grain exports forecast increased to 20-mln mt in 2019/2020

KYIV, Nov 11 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) in November raised its forecast for wheat exports from Ukraine in the 2019/2020 marketing year (MY, July-June) by 500,000 tons compared to the forecast in October, to 20 million tons, that for harvest by 300,000 tons, to 29 million tons.


Ukraine expected to produce 74 mln mt of grain in 2019: minister

KYIV, Nov 12 – The harvest of grain and leguminous crops in Ukraine in 2019, according to preliminary data, will be about 74 million tons, which is 4 million tons more than in 2018, Economy Minister Tymofiy Mylovanov has stated.

KYIV, Nov 12 - Consumer prices in Ukraine, after rising by 1.9% in September, rose by another 1.7% in October, and since the beginning of the year their growth reached 7.4%, the State Statistics Service reported.


USDA improves Ukraine’s soybean export forecast for 2018/19 marketing year

KYIV, Nov 9 - The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) in November improved the forecast for soybean exports from Ukraine for the 2018/2019 marketing year (MY, September-August) by 5%, or 150,000 tons compared to the September forecast, to 3.1 million tons.


Ukrainian auto manufacturers boost output 79% on year in Jan-Oct

KYIV, Nov 10 - Ukrainian auto manufacturers produced 6,640 vehicles in January-October 2017, which is 79% more than a year ago, including a rise of 86.9% in production of passenger cars, to 5,649, the Ukrautoprom association has reported.

KYIV, Nov 10 – StarMoney LLC, a subsidiary of Kyivstar, a leading Ukrainian mobile communications operator, submitted a package of documents to the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) to receive a status of the payment infrastructure operator, Kyivstar President Peter Chernyshov said.
