IMF team arrives in Kyiv for sixth review of Extended Fund Facility

KYIV, Nov 12 – The International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission arrived in Kyiv for the sixth review of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) and began its work on Monday and plans to work here for a week.


USDA improves Ukraine’s 2023/24 coarse grain forecast to 36.42-mln mt

KYIV, Nov 10 – The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) improved forecast for the harvest of coarse grains in Ukraine in the 2023/24 marketing year by 1.85 million tons, to 36.42 million tons, including corn – by 1.5 million tons, to 29.5 million tons.


IAEA inspectors find no undeclared nuclear material in Ukraine

KYIV, Nov 10 – An inspection by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) found no undeclared nuclear material at the Pivdennoukrainska Nuclear Power Plant (NPP), the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate said.

KYIV, Nov 10 – The hull of the future flagship of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Hetman Ivan Mazepa corvette, which is being built in Turkey, is made of steel, which was made at Azovstal, the legendary place at which Ukrainian defenders fought the Russian invaders in Mariupol.


Ukraine’s monthly consumer prices grow to 2.5% in Oct from 1.9% in Sept

KYIV, Nov 10 – The growth of consumer prices in Ukraine in October 2022 accelerated to 2.5% from 1.9% in September, 1.1% in August and 0.7% in July, the State Statistics Service reported in Thursday.


Ukraine to announce tender for 5G mobile network in October 2021

KYIV, Nov 11 – The Cabinet of Ministers at a meeting on Wednesday approved an action plan for the implementation of the 5G mobile communication system in Ukraine, which provides for the announcement of a tender for the issuance of licenses to use radio frequency (RF) spectrum for 5G in October 2021.

Commission increases 28.9% power transmission tariffs for 2021

KYIV, Nov 11 - The National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission (NEURC) approved the tariff of National Energy Company Ukrenergo for the transmission of electricity for 2021 in the amount of UAH 309.8/MWh, which is 28.9% higher than the current one (UAH 240.23/MWh) and 1% less than the tariff set for December 2021 (UAH 312.76/MWh).


Ukreximbank redeems $300-mln in 2025 eurobonds, 2022 eurobonds

KYIV, Nov 11 – The state-owned Ukreximbank (Kyiv) on November 10 redeemed its eurobonds maturing in 2022 for $84.047 million (at par) and maturing in 2025 for $215.948 million from available funds, the bank's press service said.


Mortgage loans in Ukraine rise 16% to UAH 2.3-bln in Jan-Sep, NBU reports

KYIV, Nov 11 - The volume of new mortgage loans issued in January-September increased by 16%, to UAH 2.3 billion (year-over-year), while the number of new mortgage contracts decreased by 8%, to 3,640, according to the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).
