Ryanair may open data center in Ukraine as business expands

KYIV, May 10 – The Irish low cost air carrier Ryanair is considering the possibility of opening its own data center in Ukraine, airline executive director Michael O'Leary has said in an interview with the Ukrainian Travel Gazette.

KYIV, May 11 – Ireland's low cost airline Ryanair is holding talks with five Ukrainian airports on launching flights and hopes to start flying to new destination in Ukraine in 2019, Ryanair CEO Michael O'Leary said.


Ukraine’s electric vehicle registrations up 50% to 1,044 in Jan-April

KYIV, May 11 – Primary registrations of electric cars (new and used) in Ukraine grew by 50% in January-April 2018 year-over-year, to 1,044 cars, the Ukrautoprom association has reported.

The share of used cars grew to 85% compared with 81% in January-April 2017.


Naftogaz expects arbitration court ruling on Crimea assets in Q1 2019

KYIV, May 11 – The national energy company Naftogaz Ukrayiny expects the tribunal of the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague would issue an award on merits under a lawsuit filed by the company against Russia over the seizure of assets of Naftogaz in Crimea in the first quarter of 2019, the company reported.


Ukraine approves list of 26 large businesses for privatization

KYIV, May 11 – The Ukrainian government has approved a list of 26 large enterprises for privatization in 2018, including Centrenergo, Odesa Port-Side Plant, Turboatom, Zaporizhia Titanium and Magnesium Combine, United Mining-Chemical Company and Sumykhimprom.


USDA forecasts steep decline for Ukraine grain harvest this year

KIEV, May 13 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture has forecast that the Ukrainian grain harvest in 2015 will reach 55.33 million tons against 64.1 million tons in 2014.

In particular, the USDA projects that in 2015 Ukraine will harvest 22 million tons of wheat, 33.33 million tons of fodder grain, and 26 million tons of maize.


Cabinet decides to sell state stakes in 22 energy companies in 2015

KIEV, May 13 – The Cabinet of Ministers has decided to put state stakes in four power generation companies, seven combined heat and power plants and 11 regional power generation companies up for sale in 2015.

KIEV, May 13 - Ukraine is facing problems in talks with international creditors over a $1.5 billion loan for replenishing its gas reserves ahead of the winter, a senior official at the national energy company Naftogaz Ukrayiny said Wednesday.
