Energoatom seeks $250-mln loan from BofA Merrill Lynch to build fuel storage
KYIV, Oct 11 – State nuclear power generator Energoatom plans to sign a loan agreement with Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BofA-ML) that will provide $250 million for construction of the centralized spent nuclear fuel storage facility at the end of November 2017, Energoatom President Yuriy Nedashkovsky has said. |
Defense ministry officials accused of embezzling UAH 149-mln in state funds
KYIV, Oct 12 – A deputy defense minister and director of the department of state procurement and supplies of material resources at the Defense Ministry, who were detained on October 11, have been notified of the suspicion in embezzling over UAH 149 million in state funds during the purchase of fuel for the ministry, the press service of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) has reported. |
State Aviation Service confirms termination of Ukraine-Russia flights
KIEV, Oct. 12 - As the Russian Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviation) has not explained the reasons for restricting Ukrainian airlines' flights in Russian airspace starting October 25, the Ukrainian State Aviation Service has decided to fully terminate commercial air services between Ukraine and Russia starting from this date, the Ukrainian Infrastructure Ministry reported on Monday. |
Government demands Naftogaz, Uktransgaz comply with new tariff regs
KIEV, Oct. 10 – The Ukrainian government has recommended that Naftogaz Ukrayiny and Ukrtransgaz to urgently take measures to bring the contract relations on natural gas transit via the territory of Ukraine in line with the temporary procedure for the formation of tariffs approved by cabinet resolution No. 510 of September 3. |
Ukraine's monetary base rose by 2.9% last month, NBU reports
KIEV, Oct. 13 – The monetary base in Ukraine in September rose by 2.9% (since the start of the year by 14.4%), to UAH 351.4 billion, money supply decreased by 2.2% (from the beginning of the year it increased by 9.1%), to UAH 991.9 billion, the National Bank of Ukraine reported. |
