PM says he'll find ways to resume large-scale ag machinery production

KIEV, Nov. 11 – The government will find schemes for resuming large-scale production of agricultural machinery in Ukraine, Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said during his visit to Kherson Machine Building Plant.


Price of coal shipped from South Africa set at $107 per ton

KIEV, Nov. 10 – The price of the coal shipped by U.K.-based Steel Mont Trading Ltd. from the South African Republic to Ukrainian state-run Ukrinterenergo enterprise on CTP (Carriage Paid To) terms is $107.22-107.31 per ton for Trypilska thermal power plant (Trypillia Dniprovske station, Kiev region) and $109.08-109.17 per ton for Zmiyivska thermal power plant (Liman station, Kharkiv region).


USDA boosts Ukraine corn harvest forecast to 27 million tons

KIEV, Nov. 11 - The U.S. Department of Agriculture in November revised upwards its forecast for the corn harvest in Ukraine in the 2014/15 agricultural year (July 2014 – June 2015) by 2 million tons, to 27 million tons.


Naftogaz returns portion of Russian gas transit payment to Gazprom

KIEV, Nov. 12 – Naftogaz Ukrayiny has returned to Gazprom a portion of the payment for transit of Russian gas through Ukraine in September-October 2014, a Naftogaz spokesman told Interfax-Ukraine.


EIB approves €150 million for Urengoi-Pomary-Uzhgorod pipeline

KIEV, Nov. 12 – The European Investment Bank in the second half of October approved the provision of a EUR 150 million financing to reconstruct the Urengoi-Pomary-Uzhgorod gas pipeline used to supply Russian gas to Europe by the Ukrainian gas transport system operator Ukrtransgaz.

South Africa supplier cuts Ukraine coal, citing 'reputation issues'

KIEV, Nov. 12 - Steel Mont Trading Ltd. plans to cut coal supplies from South Africa to Ukraine from one million tons to 500,000 tons with the purpose of avoiding reputation risks, Ukrinterenergo state enterprise Director Volodymyr Zinevych told reporters in Kiev on Tuesday.


Steel Mont Trading demands 20% down payment for South African coal

KIEV, Nov. 12 - Steel Mont Trading Ltd. has demanded only 20% of advance payment for supply of coal from South Africa to Ukraine, Ukrinterenergo Director Volodymyr Zinevych said.
