Ukraine admits S&P500 stocks for investments by local investors
KYIV, Jan 11 – The National Securities and Stock Market Commission decided to admit securities included in the S&P500 stock index to circulation on the territory of Ukraine, which will increase the total number of foreign securities that can be traded on the domestic market five times - more than up to 500.

Lekhim plans to register Chinese COVID-19 vaccine in Ukraine
KYIV, Jan 13 – The Lekhim group of pharmaceutical companies (Kyiv) plans to register in Ukraine a vaccine against coronavirus (COVID-19) disease produced by the Chinese company Sinovac Biotech until February 5, after the vaccine is registered in Brazil, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Lekhim group of pharmaceutical companies Valeriy Pechayev said Wednesday.

GUAM countries work on free trade area treaty
KYIV, Jan 13 – Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Moldova, known as GUAM bloc, are working on launching free trade area (FTA) agreement in order to further boost cooperation in the region, Yuriy Hrynevetsky, representative of the Department of Economic Diplomacy of the Foreign Ministry, said.

IMF worried about Ukraine’s gas price cut
KYIV, Jan 14 – The International Monetary Fund has expressed concerns over Ukraine’s plans to cut natural gas prices for households and has already contacted senior government officials about that, Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko said Thursday.

Velta targets North America with $100-mln in titanium supply contract
KYIV, Jan 13 – Velta industrial and commercial firm LLC with titanium ore production assets in Ukraine (Kirovohrad region) has agreed to supply $100 million of ilmenite, a titanium feedstock, under a five-year supply contract with the Traxys Group, a global commodity trading group, aimed at meeting the needs of the North American market. |
