Monotel opens chain of minimalistic tiny hotel rooms in Kyiv
KYIV, July 11 – The new Ukrainian chain of futuristic capsule hotels Monotel plans to open its first facility near Besarabska Square in August, and two more in Zoloti Vorota (Golden Gate) and near the Kyiv's bike track – by the end of 2019, the press service of the operator has told Interfax-Ukraine. |
Ukrainians may buy less overseas after new duties on parcels: Meest

Poroshenko sold stake in Kuznya to Tigipko for $235.8-mln in 2019, report reveals
KYIV, July 11 – The cost of a 73.9% stake in Plant Kuznya on Rybalsky, owned by Prime Assets Capital investment fund belonging to Ukraine's fifth president Petro Poroshenko, under a sale and purchase agreement of November 15, 2018 signed with businessman Sergiy Tigipko's Ewins Limited amounted to $235.8 million, according to the annual report of the fund. |
USDA revises down Ukraine’s wheat export to 19-mln mt in 2019-2020 season
KYIV, July 12 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has reviewed downwards the forecast for export of Ukrainian wheat in 2019/20 agricultural year (July-June) by 0.5 million tons, to 19 million tons, and harvest – by 1 million tons, to 29 million tons, according to a July report of the USDA posted on its website. |
EBRD to co-finance 110-MW wind farm in Ukraine’s Kherson region
KYIV, July 12 – The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) under EBRD's Ukrainian Sustainable Energy Lending Facility III (USELF III), a EUR 250 million facility to support renewable energy in Ukraine, will partially finance construction of the Dnepro-Bugsky wind farm with a planned capacity of 110 MW located in Oleksandrivka (Kherson region). |
