Gazprom likely to be forced to sign gas transit deal with Ukraine, NBU officials says
KYIV, Aug 13 – Russia's Gazprom will be forced to sign an agreement with Naftogaz Ukrayiny after December 31, 2019, since it will have to pump 50-65 billion cubic meters (bcm) of gas through the Ukrainian gas transportation system (GTS) per year in the next 1.5-2 years, Chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) Council Bohdan Danylyshyn has said. |
Yuzgaz B.V. obtains 90% of Nadra Uuzivska in shale gas field PSA
KYIV, Aug 13 - The government committee on the fuel and energy complex has approved the transfer of 90% of Nadra Yuzivska's rights and obligations in the production sharing agreement (PSA) on Yuzivska deposit (Kharkiv and Donetsk regions) to Yuzgaz B.V. (the Netherlands), Verkhovna Rada deputy Viktoria Voitsytska said. |
NBU: Monetary policy tight enough to for inflation target at 8.9% in 2018
KYIV, Aug 10 - The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) considers the current monetary conditions to be sufficiently stringent to maintain the dynamics of consumer inflation in accordance with the forecast of the central bank at 8.9% by the end of 2018 and its return to the target range in the fourth quarter of 2019. |
