Ukraine and Russia JV to produce Ruslan heavy transport aircraft

KIEV, Oct. 14 – Participants of a meeting of the subcommission for cooperation in the aviation industry of the committee of economic cooperation of the Ukrainian-Russian interstate commission have confirmed the plans of the sides to create a joint venture for the production of modernized An-124-100 150 tonne-capacity Ruslan heavy transport aircraft, the Industrial Policy Ministry reported.


USDA improves 2012-2013 sunflower oil production forecast by 1.9%

KIEV, Oct. 11 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture has improved its forecast for the production of sunflower oil in Ukraine in the current marketing year (MY, September 2012 through August 2013) by 1.9%, or by 67,000 tons from its September forecast, to 3.49 million tons.
