AMC permits Dutch Koninklijke Bunge to buy New European shares

KIEV, Nov. 11 – Ukraine's Antimonopoly Committee has permitted Koninklijke Bunge B. V. (Rotterdam, the Netherlands) to acquire shares in New European company LLC (Mykolaiv).


China's CNBM registers ownership to 10 largest Ukraine solar plants

KIEV, Nov. 11 – China's CNBM has completed the registration of ownership rights to the 10 largest solar power plants in Ukraine with a total capacity of 267 MW, Director General of China's CNBM New Energy Engineering Co., Ltd. Yongzhi Chen said in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.


Monetary base fell 0.2% in October, National Bank of Ukraine reports

KIEV, Nov. 14 - Monetary base in Ukraine decreased by 0.2% in October to UAH 354.64 billion, according to the National Bank of Ukraine.

According to the NBU, the growth of monetary base since the beginning of the year was 5.5%.


Independent investors to draw up $150 billion Ukraine project list

KIEV, Nov. 14 – A group of professionals not representing government officials intend to draw up a list of possible investment projects in Ukraine worth $150 billion. The projects could be implemented in Ukraine in coming 15-20 years, former head of the Presidential Administration and head of the National Investment Council Borys Lozhkin said.


Fitch Ratings predicts 1.1% GDP growth for Ukraine this year

KIEV, Nov. 14 - Fitch Ratings predicts that Ukraine's GDP will grow by 1.1% in 2016.

This is 0.1 percentage points higher than Fitch projected in May 2016.

GDP growth is forecast to accelerate to 2.5% in 2017 and 3% in 2018 and this is 0.5 p.p. higher for the two figures than anticipated in May 2016.


Naftogaz denies report Kherson town is getting gas from Crimea

KIEV. Nov 14 – State-owned gas company Naftogaz Ukrayiny has denied reports that gas is being supplied from Russian-occupied Crimea to Henichesk in Kherson region and said that the Ukrainian town has enough of its own gas to cover its current needs.


VETEK Group completes purchase of Kherson oil transshipment complex

KIEV, Nov. 13 – VETEK Group has completed the acquisition of the All-Ukrainian Industrial Union LLC, which owns Kherson oil transshipment complex, including an oil terminal and a petroleum tank farm.


State nuclear regulator ready to renew Yuzhnoukrainsk operation

KIEV, Nov. 13 – The State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate has studied the possibility of the safe operation of reactor one at Yuzhnoukrainsk nuclear power plant ahead of schedule and is ready to renew the license for the reactor operation until December 2, 2023, inspectorate head Olena Mykolaichuk has said in an interview with the Uriadovy Kurier newspaper.


Rosneft official says fuel import duties are needed to save LINIK

KIEV, Nov. 12 - Ukraine's Lysychansk Oil Refinery (LINIK) can only operate effectively if it is allowed to refine oil on a give-and-take basis and if Ukraine levies moderate import duties on fuel, Igor Pavlov, vice president for downstream at controlling shareholder Rosneft, said at the Petroleum Ukraine-2013 conference in Kiev on Tuesday.


Poland's Barlinek Group closes its timber plant in Zakarpattia region

KIEV, Nov. 12 – Poland's Barlinek Group, a large producer of wood flooring, in the third quarter of this year decided to close its timber plant in Kosiv (Zakarpattia region).
