Ukraine working with European Commission to remove border blockades
KYIV, Feb 14 – Ukraine is working with the European Commission to create a mechanism that would make the blockade unacceptable, Deputy Minister of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development Serhiy Derkach said at the Global Outlook: A Winning Vision conference organized by the European Business Association (EBA) on Wednesday.

Ukraine’s defense sector may grow 6-fold in 2024 after tripling in 2023
KYIV, Feb 14 – The defense sector in Ukraine tripled over the past year, and in 2024 the industry is expected to swell six times, Deputy Minister for Strategic Industries Hanna Hvozdiar said at the Global Outlook: A Winning Vision conference organized by the European Business Association (EBA) on Wednesday.

Ukraine’s imports of goods up 6.3% on year in January 2024
KYIV, Feb 15 – Imports of goods to Ukraine in January 2024 increased by 6.3% compared to the same period last year – from $4.8 billion to $5.1 billion, while exports – by 9.7%, from $3.1 billion to $3.4 billion, the State Customs Service reported on Friday.
According to published information, in January 2024, trade turnover amounted to $8.5 billion, which is 7% more than the same period in 2023, and the negative balance of trade in goods, despite the rapid growth of exports, remained at $1.7 billion.

Ukrainian businesses improve expectations assessment over next 6 months
KYIV, Feb 15 – In January, business improved its assessments of both the current situation and expectations for the next six months for the second month in a row, it also improved expectations for three months and decreased the level of uncertainty for the next quarter – six months, these are the main results of the seventh monthly survey of enterprises "Ukrainian business in wartime" by the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting (IER).

Ukraine exploring space partnership with Luxembourg, Shmyhal says
KYIV, Feb 12 – Ukraine is interested in further cooperation with Luxembourg in the field of innovative technologies, in particular, in the development of IT technologies, cybersecurity and digital development, and renewable energy sources, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said.
