UkrNafta projects 2.2% natural gas production drop for 2008
KIEV, Dec. 26 - UkrNafta, the biggest oil producer in Ukraine, might see gas production decline 2.2% in 2008, the company said.
UkrNafta produced 3.043 billion cubic meters (bcm) year-to-date as of Dec. 18, which fully meets the target for the year. Production in the remaining days of the year is planned at 0.125 bcm. |
Russia’s Krasnoyarsk combine to boost nuke storage, removal fees 16%
KIEV, Dec. 25 – Krasnoyarsk mining and chemical combine (Russia) has informed Ukrainian nuclear energy company EnergoAtom of plans to increase rates of its spent nuclear fuel removal and storage services by 16% in 2009, EnergoAtom director for economic issues Mykola Rachyn said at a meeting of Ukraine's National Electricity Regulatory Commission on Thursday. |
Media advertising market fall projected at 14% for next year
KIEV, Dec. 25 – The volume of the media advertising market in 2009 will fall by 14%, to UAH5.83 billion, according to a research of the All-Ukrainian Advertising Coalition (AUAC).
According to the group, this year the market grew by 17%, to UAH6.78 billion, instead of a planned 25,% because of a fall in the fourth quarter and a lower share of political advertising compared to 2007. |
Experts predict gas price of $250 per 1,000 cu m for next year
KIEV, Dec. 25 – Ukrainian experts have forecast that the price of gas for Ukraine in 2009 will be $250 per 1,000 cu.m., according to a poll conducted by the Center for Corporate Relations Studies on Dec. 17-18.
Fifteen experts in the economy, energy and gas business were polled. |
Cadogan Petroleum to defer $179 million of capex over 2 years
KIEV, Dec. 25 – Cadogan Petroleum Plc, a British oil and gas producer with Ukrainian assets, is to invest $76.2 million (GBP50.8 million) in capital expenditure in 2009 and $56.7 million (GBP37.8 million) in 2010, deferring $179 million (GBP119.3 million) of capital expenditure in total over those two years.
