KIEV, Jan. 16 – Ukraine's State Agency for Managing the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone has extended the deadline for submitting bids for the allocation of land parcels to build solar power plants in the Chernobyl zone until March 1.


Thai Army inspectors start acceptance of Ukrainian combat tanks

KIEV, Jan. 16 – The inspectorate of the Royal Thai Army on January 16 will start accepting the new batch of Oplot combat tanks in Ukraine made at Malyshev Plant (Kharkiv) under a contract to supply 49 tanks to Thailand signed in 2011, the state-run enterprise Ukrspecexport reported.

KIEV, Jan. 14 – Ukraine is holding talks with Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan on the introduction of a uniform through tariff for transportation of cargos by a container train that would go across Ukraine, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and China (via Caspian and Black seas) and will depart from Illichivsk on January 15 to make a demonstration trip, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk said at a cabinet meeting on Wednesday.

Cabinet resolution delay could harm sowing campaign, EBA warns

KIEV, Jan. 13 – A delay in the adoption of a cabinet resolution on the approved list of goods, exports and imports which are to be subject to licensing and quotas for 2015 could result in a sowing campaign failure and the loss of Ukraine's position in the international grain export market, the European Business Association has said.
