Ukraine calls for bigger pressure on Russia for attacking Chornobyl plant
KYIV, Feb 14 – Ukraine calls on the international community to immediately intensify pressure on Russia and hold it accountable for all acts of nuclear terrorism, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has said in a statement following Russia's attack on the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) on Friday.

Ukraine sends first large ship with grain via new safe Black Sea route
KYIV, Feb 15 – The Panamax MV Melia class bulk carrier became the first ship to leave the Neptune grain terminal at the Pivdenny seaport (Odesa region) and successfully pass through the deep-water corridor designated by the Ministry of Infrastructure for the safe passage of ships during the closure of the Russian Federation territories in the exclusive maritime economic zone of Ukraine for combat exercises.

Ukraine seeks safe navigation routes in Black Sea after Russia’s drill ban
KYIV, Feb 15 – Studies of the bottom structure carried out by special vessels of the State Hydrographic Service of Ukraine have confirmed the safety of navigation in a sea corridor between the western border of the region of illegal exercises of the Russian Federation and the Dniester Shoal, the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine reports on its Facebook page on Tuesday.

NBU to increase limits on all foreign exchange transactions in Ukraine
KYIV, Feb 15 – The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) plans to increase all existing limits in the foreign exchange market, including limits on investments abroad for individuals and legal entities and a limit on the daily purchase of foreign currency by businesses without obligations, Director of the NBU's open markets department Oleksiy Lupin has said.

Akhmetov: Metinvest to invest $1-bln to upgrade steelmaking in Ukraine
KYIV, Feb 16 – Wealthiest Ukrainian businessman, Rinat Akhmetov, on Wednesday announced plans to invest $1 billion to upgrade steel making facilities in Mariupol, his holding company Metinvest reported.
"We continue to build, we continue to invest. This year, Metinvest will invest $1 billion in new production," he said.
