01.10.2024 10 out of 11 NBU policy committee members backed keeping rates unchanged
KYIV, Sept 30 – The vast majority – 10 out of 11 – members of the National Bank of Ukraine's (NBU) Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) supported keeping the key policy rate at 13% during a meeting on September 18, according to the committee's published discussion results. One member, however, advocated for an increase to 13.5%.

01.10.2024 Hungary agrees to help Ukraine repair energy sector ahead of winter
KYIV, Sept 30 – Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto, during talks with his Ukrainian counterpart Andriy Sybiha in Budapest, said Hungary will continue to support Ukraine's energy supply and will encourage its largest oil and gas company MOL and the power transmission system operator MAVIR to help develop Ukrainian energy.

KYIV, Sept 27 - The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has approved a EUR 50 million loan to Kyivteploenergo for critical needs related to heating systems on Wednesday, September 25. According to a statement on the bank's website, the total project cost is EUR 55 million, with EUR 5 million provided as a grant by the EBRD Crisis Response Special Fund.
